Anyhoo, I have a fun little plan for this go-around. With the help of Julee at Verve Visual, I am going to offer two prizes for this one. Here's the deets:
- As you know, I list a tutorial or two on this blog from time to time. I would like to know out of all those gals who work so hard on putting these together, who you have found to be the most helpful. (Please note: I would like to honor someone who is not a Dirty Dozen SCS member or on more than one design team. I want to honor a "plugger" who shares their time and talent but doesn't always get the recognition she should receive.)
The person who gets the most amounts of votes will receive two of Verve Visual's latest releases: Wonderful Wishes Remixed and Starlight, Starbright Remixed (courtesy of Julee). - The other prize will be a 50 G/C from me to Verve Visual (which not only sells these fab stamps [once again, my enabler-in-chief Nancy, has them...sigh!] but also sells a ton of other fun stuff like DP, embellishments, ink, etc.).
ETA: As of December 17th at 8 PM, there are 45 entries. I am not posting the comments and I will leave this at the top of the blog until the end of the contest. This one looks like it may be an easy one to win...

I can't single out just one turtorial person because it often depends on what I am looking for. So many bloggers are doing the same thing and you just dont know where it originates to begin with. I am just happy to look and often save some in my Reader for seasons.
And I have no idea what the dirty dozen is other than that movie hubby watches over and over. I used to stop by SCS a lot but am just tired of them. I guess its gone the same way as the whole CK hall of fame and no one has a remote chance of getting in or being accepted. I dont think I have gone to the site in 6 months or more. My daughter and I just had a discussion about the site and she is feeling the same way. I would rather visit here!
nite
Hey Allison,
I know exactly who I would like to nominate...Maria Bell...http://stampininspirations.blogspot.com/
Maria is SUPER talented and really should be on some kind of design team! I happen to have a few of her creations and they are beautiful!! She is on the Scor-pal design team but that is all I know of. :0)
What a fun idea, Allison! I would have to nominate Heather from [witty title here]. I love her idea for tea bag boxes:
http://heatherpulvirenti.blogspot.com/2007/11/warm-wishes-tea-bag-box.html
and her other work is fab too! Good luck with the contest!
Allison,
How sweet to think of all the blogers and offer them some sweet goodies. YOU ROCK!
Here is my vote:

Thanks for a chance.
cmeyers@hughes.net
I love Godelieve's tutorials over at Stamping Mathilda....she rocks!
http://stampingmathilda.blogspot.com/
I'm not sure I'm doing this right, Allison, but I nominate Wanda for this prize. I've used her ideas and techniques more than any other blogger. Here's her blog:
http://www.starlightstamper.com/
Hi Allison!
This one is easy - for me it has to be Beth at Sunflowers and Dragonflies. She makes the most amazing art, and is a wonderful person to boot. I think nice people deserve good things :)
hugs
Suzy
my vote is for Beth who always does fab tutorials:
http://sunflowersanddragonflies.blogspot.com/2007/12/altered-notebook.html
(sorry if this is a double post)
What a great idea ....Fun Giveaway ....Good Luck to all the ladies!!!!
I would love to nominate:
http://pescbrico.blogspot.com/
She always has wonderful projects and tutorials. She is great at translating to English too!
Thanks!
Cheryl
What a fun contest. Can I nominate Lauren Meader? I'm not sure she fits the criteria since I'm fairly new to this game but I have borrowed (stolen) many ideas from her and her tutorials. Have a great day!
Hi Allison. Can I nominate you?? LOL Ok I will nominate paula at stampinandscrapinwithpaula.blogspot I am not sure if she is on a design team or not but she post everyday and always has more than one card and lots of tutorials. I received my card today from you..aren't you the sweetest person!! Thanks so much! May you and yours have a wonderful holiday season!
Hi Alison!
So nice of you to offer this kind of candy!! My vote is for Kristina Werner http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/
I'm pretty sure she's not currently on any design teams (I know she used to be on American Crafts team). If she doesn't count then my next person is Angie Juda http://www.stampingchic.com/chic_n_scratch/
this is a great site she is also posting tutorials.
http://melstampz.blogspot.com/
Stupid busy??? That sounds like me. I'd really love to pick your brain someday about how you do all you do. :)
Anyway...this is hard, and I hope this gal meets the requirements:
Marie from http://marielovestostamp.blogspot.com/
She has awesome tutorials and great sketches. And doesn't really seem to do it to promote any specific product.
Oh...and congrats on the 500K! :)
I can't believe I am the first to post. I think the person & blog that I have learned a lot from is Nicole at {capture the moment} blog, http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/. She writes some incredible tutorials! Hope she does well in the contest! Thanks, Debi (windystamper)
I would nominated Susanna The Barefoot Stamper. She has awesome tutorials, and I have made many of her things, books, star cards, origami things...many things
http://barefootstamper.com/
Great idea! chris
I would say that Michelle over at http://comestampwithme.blogspot.com/ doesn't get the love that she rightly desires as a very devoted blogger with a post every single freakin day and the amount of comments she leaves for bloggers...She totally rocks!
I want to nominate Dawn:
http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/
My nominations in no particular order are:
Dawn Griffith
Angie Juda
Julie Buhler
I'm not sure if they are members of what your are excluding, but their tutorials are fantastic.
hi allison!
that is so great that you are trying to recognize the bloggers. i really like kristina's tutorials from kwernerdesigns. i'm not sure if i saw her from your tutorials, but i really love her style and her tutorials are awesome.
thanks also for offering the $50 giftcards to verve for us! :)
Well it seems like everyone is on a design team or two or three..... I can't think of someone whose blog I visit that is not on a design team or a SCS dirty girl.....
I know that Jan Tink has some WONDERFUL tutorials, but she is now on what, 2 or 3 design teams?? Hmmmmmm.......... I'm really going to have to think.....
Hi Allison, Congratulations on 500k hits! You do so much work for all of us! Thanks so much. I would like to nominate Jenn from Stamp Your Heart Out (http://igotstamps.blogspot.com/. She has some great tutorials - and she is being noticed on Splitcoast - she had her first tutorial posted there last week, and it's excellent.
I think this gal rocks!!!
http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/
I would love to say I love Kristina's video tutorials the best.
This is her blog..
http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/
Tejal
Well I really like what Angie from Chic n'Scratch has to offer all the time! She has some awesome tutorials on there! I am pretty sure she isn't part of a DT...just a great SU! demo!
Her blog is here:
http://www.chicnscratch.typepad.com/
I chose Suzy at Papermonkey.org
She does terrific tutorials.
NancyS (momsnack)
awesome! I am not sure if she meets the requirements but how about Kristina Werner. Thanks for all YOU do!
I'd like to nominate:
http://jenniferssweettreatdesigns.blogspot.com/
She does beautiful work.
Claudia
scfranson@charter.net
I'm gonna have to say I like going to Dawn's stamping thoughts alot and she shares alot on her blog... thank you for updating all those awesome tutorials on your blog...
Hi - I'd like to nominate Lindsay - for her scalloped edge tutorial. I've read about using the punch before but having just read her tutorial with fab photos, I know I can do it!
Wow, 500k!!! For the life of me I can't remember who you linked to for a great Peppermint Patty box, but I know I found it through your site. I love all the great tutorials you have...gives me motivation to take on my own projects! Thank you so much for your site!
great contest! I check your blog daily mostly for the tutorials that are posted, although I often check the new bloggers and what they're up to. As for favorite tutorials - these are my favs but I have to eliminate Tim, KWerner, and Nichole since they're already so well established. I'm going to go with Rachel and her sour cream ornaments. I've checked quite a few tutorials that were helpful, but I never would have thought to use sour cream containers for ornaments, so Rachel gets my vote! I love all the hard work you put into this blog every day. You make it simple to find everything that's out there in the crafting world! TFS all you do for all of us!
I want to be entered for this fabulous blog candy, Allison. Congrats on 500K. If I've already entered, sorry for the duplicate. I can't seem to get back on track since my vacation for DS' wedding.
Congrats on the 500K! You provide a link to the stamping world like no other. You make blog surfing so much easier for many of us.
I like so many people and most of them are on design teams and such, that I have no idea who to vote for. I wish them all luck and that everyone for their hard work.
There are so many generous bloggers who take time to share their projects/cards. Hard to choose one, but one in particular is M.A.D. Stamper - Monika. She always has tons of fun things to show and explains all the steps so clearly. She also lists other fun "Treasures" she finds. She deserves a fun holiday treat -- but so do lots of other bloggers!!
Hi Allison!
What a wonderful idea for a contest!
I alway enjoy looking at the sites you list that have inspired you.
If I had to choose just one, it would be Bits&Pieces, Lisa at http://lisakavanaugh.blogspot.com/
I had never heard of Caardvarks or Cardmaps...but I go there frequently now, for fresh new ideas.
Thanks for introducing us to them!
Hi Allison!
Can I vote again?
I just discovered (thanks to your tutorial list), Mel, at http://melstampz.blogspot.com/
I was drawn there by her Faux Build-a-Brad tutorial. After much exploring, I subscribed! What a marvelous, fresh, inspring blog!
My vote would go to Jana Weaver. I really like her tutorial on the window card (I've never made one and am anxious to give it a try). She also gives details on all her cards, so almost every entry is a mini tutorial. Thanks for supplying us with the list of tutorials and also for the chance to win.
kathleenj350@comcast.net
Kathy W
I enjoyed Heather's Candle Box. Great stuff there!
I vote for Maria, of Card Inspired By Maria and also Stampin Inspirations. Stampin Inspirations is full of great tutorials and her creations are beautiful. I don't know if she is an SCS DD member, but reading her blog bio it doesn't list any dt membership, either. Thanks for a chance to show the spotlight on more great talent!
Hello,
Congrats on passing 500K!
With limited funds I haven't been able to buy any new stamps for quite awhile, but I keep wiping the drool puddle off my computer when I go to Julee's site!
One of the Blogs that I admire most is Heather Scott's - http://stampez.typepad.com/
She is a rep for TAC. I like her sense of style and she has posted some really nice work!
Thanks!
Sarah
Hello Allison!
Congratulations!! you are my HERO!
I just want to ask more about this, it sounds like fun, but I am not sure what I have to do! LOL
Love,
Diana
One of my favorite stampers is:
http://stampnscrapwithpaula.blogspot.com/
she has some awesome cards.
Linda Peterson
craftylin1968@aol.com
I'd like to nominate Rose Ann at Paper Delightz for this prestigious award. I found a tutorial for her flap card via your blog, and I loved it so much I used it for our Christmas cards this year. Her tutorial was so well done and I love her work.
I want to nominate Maria of Stamping Inspirations (http://stampininspirations.blogspot.com/) and Card Inspired (http://www.cardinspired.blogspot.com/). She does a ton of tutorials, even video ones. And as far as I know, she is not on any design tems at all. She is a SU demo. She is a huge inspiration and help!!!! (and her work is fantastic!!)
Kelly Battle, A Stamping Adventure
I really like her simple, and straightforward candle tutorial.
Janet B
gladiola64@hotmail.com
I can't remember if you posted her tutorials on your site or not (although I can't image that you didn't!) but I love the tutorials and videos from Kristina (kwernerdesign) the most. They are well done and easy to follow, she gives excellent instructions!
http://angelosity.blogspot.com/ - This is my nomination. Angel is just an awesome blogger and an incredible stamper. I hope she wins! I'd love for her to get some stampin' goodies for Christmas! Wonderful contest! :)
Although I'd love to vote for myself Kristina Werner posts some amazing tutorials via video on her Monday Cardmaking videos. I'm pretty sure you post her stuff....if not...I vote for me...hehehe....just kidding.
Love ya
Corinne
I am confused by what we are supposed to do to enter the contest for the second part.So I am making a comment in hopes that is what it takes. If you can clarify for us "slow" people LOL, that would be great. Thanks!
Happy Holidays!
So many choices! I am going to have to say Wanda at
http://www.starlightstamper.com
:)
I really like Katie Skiff - cute stuff and easy to follow!
First I want to thank you for the beautiful Christmas card, that was so sweet!!! :D I posted it up on my blog today to share with everyone, love it!! (can't figure out how to log in with typepad here so if you want to find it it is www.ribbonsandink.com). As for the tutorials, I have been a slacker lately but took a quick look through some recent ones and like Scrapnextras Background Dancing tutorial, she did a great job and has inspired me to dust off my BG stamps (ok, it is drywall dust and not general dust) and get to layering again!
Take care and happy holidays!
I think Corinne Sommerville has some wonderful tutorials on her site. http://stampingwithroxy.typepad.com/my_weblog/
My vote is for Wanda over at http://www.starlightstamper.com/ She always has awesome projects and good descriptions of how to make them!!
Hi Allison! I haven't been in blog land for a while because I've been sick with the flu.
I just wanted to let you know I received your fabulously beautiful Christmas card. I really appreciate that you thought of me this Christmas. Your card is very festive - I love it. I was very happy to receive it!!!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and your New Year be a fabulous and prosperous year.
As for my vote. . .there's so many to choose from but I would like to vote for Monika at M.A.D. Stamper because she puts in the effort to add instructions to every card she makes. Her cards are beautiful and I know how much work it takes to write the intstructions.
Hope I'm not too late.
Maria
My favorite, & the most helpful to everyone has to go to Stampin Inspirations by Maria. Maria Bell is the most kindest & helpful bloggers around. She deserves to be recognized! Thanks Allison for honoring those who help us all. You are also included in that catagory, but alas we can not vote for you!
Such a GREAT blog candy idea, Allison! Do you count as a vote? I think you're the biggest "plugger for others" out there! You're amazing! Since I'll assume that you can't win your own blog candy, another "plugger" comes to mind ... Nancy Morgan at Paper Smiles, ncmorgan on SCS. Nancy is always giving credit where credit is due, and always thinking of others. Her work is amazing too!
I vote for Pam for your plugger award--she is consitant and is a star!
Yes, yes Allison your blog is always full of surprises...and your 500K celebration is no different! Thanks for the fast start to connect to other blogs and your great tutorials!
...Jan
