Here's the skinny:
a) T's party went off well. I love the party part but the prep and clean-up...yuck! At least I got a clean office out of the deal. Of course, ask me tomorrow if it's still clean.
b) Let's not talk about the Flames. Yes, they are down 2-0. I am not a fair-weather fan but I do think they will be golfing by the end of next week...sigh!
c) And yes, I am last to post my LPS sneak peek (as per usual). But I did do two!
The first one featuring LPS' Forest Critters is an accordion card to showcase the shape of that tree. I love the modern lines here so I pieced all these different papers on to the ovals. I love piecing but it sure can take a lot of time!
The second is just a simple one featuring the squirrel masked on to the tree trunk. T and C decided the image for this card so I did my best to please them (and taught them masking at the same time!).
ETA: Updated the card since I hated my coloring of the first one. Old one is on the left, new one is on the right...
Super secret stamping confession!
I know why it takes me so dang long to post my DT cards each month (save just the craziness that comes with my life!). You see, I spent my whole University career "over-researching"...I would be in the library scanning books, articles and fiche up till the very last moment before a paper was due. Only then, and on the very night or two before a paper was due, would I sit down to compile all my notes into a ten page paper. I was nuts!
Anyway, I tend to do the same things with my cards. I go and look at SCS, etsy, Google Images, etc. Even worse, I look at the rest of the DT cards [ to avoid duplicating them]...OMG! However, once I do that, I get all intimidated...have you seen what they are doing? What am I doing in their company? (P.S. So not a pity party nor a grub for comments - they are so far and ahead of me sometimes!)
BTW, Jessie Rone is a guest designer for LPS...she did a boss job with this lil' squirrel! All the LPS' gals can be found in the sidebar!
