Cal-gals Sketch Challenge

Nancy chose this sketch for tonight's Cal-gals meetup:

I am so not good at these types of layered cards...I am forever trying to get my edges even!

Merlie let me try out her Copics tonight...oh no! Why, oh why?!? These are wonderful. I had been purposely "not going there" so as to avoid another addiction!

You should have seen the look in Merlie's eyes (hell, all the Cal-gals even...they are all Copic fans!)...it was like she was giving me just a taste so she knew I'd be hooked. Now I will have to sell household appliances, stereo equipment, DH's motorbike, etc. just to feed this new "need"!

Uh oh. You're in trouble now.

Seriously though, I've got about 40 Copics ... and rarely use 'em. Not that I wouldn't add more to my collection if I stumbled (literally), over a great buy but I think you can get really nice coloring results without 'em, KWIM?

Like using Prisma's ... Oh! I also saw somewhere in Blogdom someone's amazing coloring results using Bic Sharpie markers ... and rubbing alcohol ... or gin, something like that. Maybe she was coloring with Sharpies and drinking alcohol?

Love the card ... your edges look even to me!

So, have a great weekend and a lazy, fattening, and giftful Mom's Day!

Adorable card Allison & a great job coloring!!!

I still don't own any copics & have not tried them (don't know anyone who has them) either, like you I'm afraid I'd get addicted! Whatever you do don't sell your computer, we need you to keep in touch!!! We would miss you for real, Hehehe!!!

I must say.....I love this pink and green card. For some reason, those colors always seem to "pull me in"....gorgeous!!
BTW....I have a hard time not purchasing new scrapbook or card making items also.....LOL

Very cute Allison. You did great for your first go around with the big "C's". I love my Copics so much. Yep, they are a big investment.
