I call it a "Paula Card"

I made a card for my brother and my SIL Paula as a thank-you for my birthday present (a gift card to the LSS!). Since my brother will not care one whit about this card, I decided to make it with Paula in mind.

This "Paula card" is what I think she might make (or at least appreciate) and is so different from a typical "Allison card". I used a couple of different "shabby" papers as my background along with some twill ribbon. I then stamped this hydrangea (from Paper Inspirations' Brushed Botanicals) and then overstamped it with my ol' French Script background stamp. I sponged with some Dogwood ink (think River Rock) over the image which smudged things a bit but I liked the end result). Finally I added some dew drops. Easy right? Not really but at least I went outside my comfort zone!

Gorgeous! Fun to deviate, hey? From your usual routine, I mean. ;o) The shimmer is mesmerizing and that texture is HOT! Hope you're getting some sleep & having a great weekend.
