Let's recap yesterday, shall we?
- Kids were gone to their grandparents so I had big plans! Mistake number one since Ave was so crotchety yesterday! She was drooly (but she always is), she was not getting any sleep (happens more often than I like) and she would not eat. I held her most of the day which, with my mommy wrist, meant that my arm was "asleep" most of the day.
- Only at 10 PM did she finally have a BM and I thought...ha, problem solved! Mistake number two. Ave was awake the whole night...seriously. She finally went to bed at 9:15 this morning! She would sleep in my arms for catnaps but should I try to put her to bed, or even take her to bed with me, she would start up again (and not just little cries or whimpers...full out screaming!). She continued to have toxic farts so I think she still is having issues.
- I had a "disagreement" with DH yesterday which only added to the panoply of fun. I was emotionally bedraggled with no sleep, a cluttered house (I hate that) and a crying baby (when my babies cry, it hits me at the core...dang biological response!). Anyway, as I was pacing the floors with Ave at 5 AM, I heard a huge crash outside. Since I was at Tristan's window, I craned my head down the street to see what happened. Given there was a couple of huge pine trees in my way, I only saw a green sedan back up and speed down the street. I went outside and, three houses down, this guy had taken out a road sign, gone up my neighbours' lawn and then crashed into their Taurus (probably bent the rear axle...the car won't be going anywhere again, I fear). Two of my other neighbours came out (gotta love living in old people central...everybody's up early), and we chatted about the activities. Had to wait an hour for the cruisers to come (night shift came right away but they then left in pursuit) so I could give my statement.
- Went to bed at 9:30 but still got up every half-hour until 11:45 when the kids came home. They are so argumentative today...I think I need a Malibu and pineapple juice (yes, I am a girl-drink drunk...sue me.).

12 Peeps With Things to Say:
Npw that's what I call getting up on the wrong side of the bed that morning!
Momma said there'd be days like these. Chin up = enjoy the drink and smile cause us other mom's are pulling and prayin for you!
Hope tomorrow will be a better day!
Ugh, those kinds of days DO suck! It's the worst when you think, "I've got big plans...I'm going to get SO much done..." and then reality happens. Sorry your day sucked royally.
Hey, I would have had several drinks with you today...it has been a baaad one here in OR!
In Old People Central, is there a gramma type who would love some baby cuddling time? Rent a gramma. I would if I were around. I am usually up too because I haven't gone to bed yet!
I can imagine how tired you were feeling... uck!! I would have a Malibu n' Pepsi with you girl... You need to get Jan to move in with you. =0)
Yup...that day calls for a few stiff drinks!!
I'm sorry. Tell your husband I said to cut you some slack...
I wish you will have a better day today and the Ave will feel much better and sleep so mommy will too. HUG
Wow...sorry about your rough day, girl!!
UGH! That tops em all. I will no longer complain about my day. No wonder you had a disagreement with DH. A saint would surely beat on the guy after all that sleep deprivation & chaos. I hereby nominate you for extra-sainthood with a cherry on top. How do you do all you do and manage to be so danged WITTY?Must be the cute WJs that keep you on your toes. Maybe I should drink malibu (in hopes to be like you when I grow up--but sans crotchety baby-for now, LOL) :O) Hope things are chillin' for ya!
