Ha ha! I love this quote...

Okay, just so you don't think I have turned into a misandrist with this card, here was my process:
  1. I wanted to use an image from the dingbat collection Vintage Objects. I really liked the bike (letter b).
  2. Create card using Lime Rickey DP and WSC93.
  3. Go looking for an appropriate bike quote. Read this and then just have to use it...ha!
The bicycle is just as good company
as most husbands and, when it gets
old and shabby, a woman can dispose
of it and get a new one without
shocking the entire community.
~Ann Strong

Positive note of the day: I don't suspect this weekend will be as wrought as last. I have lots to keep me busy!

I love this card....love the humour in it...remember things will get easier as time goes on...remember to take time for yourself...I too was a single mom of three young children....it was not all sunshine and rainbows...but we did survive and life got easier.....I eventually met my knight in shining armour....and my children are now in their early 20's and doing wonderful....so remember good always comes from bad...at least that is what my dear mother always told me....we are all here for you remember that....

OMG this made me laugh. That quote is just hilarious. While I'm perfectly happy with my hubby there are times when this sentiment would come in handy. Great use of color on this card too.

This card is gorgeous and YUP! Tis true and effective. ;o) Gotta also love the old Stones lyric a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. In the end, to heck with the community. Amazing how the old stereotypes/pre- feministic mores are truly hegemonic. Blah blah blah. All to say, I hope you are having a great day and things are good in your heart-whatever that means for you.
