Up at 4...

The kids were all in with me (well, Ave was in her crib but I kept going in to see her so it felt like I saw her lots anyway!).

Tristan peed the bed. He has been wearing a "bedtime buddy" (my MIL termed his pull-ups as such) for the past couple years. He was fine between 2 and 4 but now, more often than not, he sleeps like the dead all night and does not wake up to go.

Charlotte has the opposite problem. This is the third night in a row she has had the "runs". During the day she seems just fine but night hits and she is up at least half-a-dozen times.

When Tristan peed the bed, in he came. Once Charlotte was alert enough to see that he was snoring away in my bed, in she toppled as well. When Ave's 4 AM feed came (on her best nights, she still has three feeds), I decided to just get up. I have work to do and just didn't feel like constantly disentangling myself from their errant limbs. Off to mainline the caffeine!

Oh gosh, Allison! I hope you can squeeze in a nap (but I know how that goes). I hope you are able to get the caffeine to work for you today, and that you get much better sleep tonight! Hugs!!

If I were in town, I'd get over there and get you a nap. You need your strength. I know it seems hellish at times without sleep. I can remember scary out of body experiences when I was up all night with a baby. Be sure to reach out for help when possible. Hang in there....
