Anyway, here's today's SC244. Loved the idea of this but was worried when I was done that it was a little ghastly. Whatcha think? (BTW, that's black embossing powder just in case you think I have special powers with my regular ink pads. Nope...'fraid not.)

Are Black Flowers Morbid...
Okay, first things first. Yes it's Basic Grey's Scarlet Letter...now, let's move on. (Ha ha! If you're getting sick of the Basic Grey, just shout. Maybe it will force me to look elsewhere but I doubt it...)

Positive note of the day: Finally getting into some of those "one day" jobs on my long to-do list. However, I end up with dirt in every orifice (yes, that was TMI...ha!).

I don't think black flowers are morbid, they look rather elegant!!
I think they are beautiful! They look like silhouettes!
WOW Allison this is soooooo pretty, i love upsy daisy and your bg papers are perfect!
I don't think it's morbid unless you're using it for a sympathy card. It just looks like shadow of flowers. I like how you pair it w/ the Basic Grey paper, it's very classy.
I think I would call it dramatic rather than morbid. Love that bg paper and don't mind seeing you use it - inspires me! ~chris
Not morbid at all!! I love it!! Love the BG!!

I think the black flowers add a stunning dimension! Even though I truly love Basic Grey, you ought to try some of Cosmo Cricket's new 6x6 - delish! :0)
You can never go wrong with black OR Basic Grey!!
Gorgeous...thanks for explaining...otherwise I would have just known you had a magical black ink pad! tmi, tmi, tmi, tmi!! Curious what the job is though Ü

I think the black flowers are cool and I've often thought of using this same set and doing black flowers but wondered the same thing as you.

They are silhouetted and definitely NOT morbid! Gorgeous job Allison!
