Moxie Fab Challenge...Vintage and Shabby Chic

I tried the Moxie Fab Challenge Stretch Your Holiday Style: A Vintage & Shabby Chic Challenge!...whoa, so out of my comfort zone! I did enjoy the stretch even if I did hurt my brain! (Vintage touches in my eye include the lace ribbon, buttons, embroidery floss, sponged snowflakes and the distressed edges.)

Positive note of the day: I am in the process of hiding toys (halving the number of dinky cars, dolls, balls, etc. available). I want the kids to appreciate what they have (my brother told me an interesting tidbit that the more toys a child has, the less they value each one) and not dump out every single thing they own (it regularly looks like a Toys 'r Us has exploded all over our basement). It is a positive move for me...we'll see what they think!

Love your card! You did a great job.
I'm laughing at your Toys R Us description. I have a family room just like that. No matter how many times I bag stuff up and send it outta here? It always seems to make it's way back!!

Gorgeous card! I have a 12 year old son who could literally open his own LEGO Store. Our basement floor is covered with 'em! There is nothing worse than getting a LEGO stuck to the bottom of your foot!

Love this card Allison so vintage looking with that gorgeous image beautifully done and what a cool idea with the toys makes sense.

Be sure to let us know what it will give toys' wise... I have to agree that my girls treat their toys like they value nothing... and we know it's not true!! Have a great day Allison

Love the card. On a regular basis I rotate toys out and I hide the ones that I am rotating out in the storage area of our basement. The toys that have been rotated in seem like completely new toys to the kids and they play with them more. When they stop playing with them, then I know its time to switch them out again.

this is lovely. I am not too good at vintage, but it one of my favorite looks. You pulled this one off wonderfully, even if it did strain your brain LOL!
