Another Robot Thank-You

I made another robot thank-you for Tristan (he keeps getting presents in the mail!). I used only part of a label die which I think adds to the vertical layout (esp. with the rockets pointing up). I used a smaller version of the same label Nesties group for the sentiment and cut the top and bottom edges off. I am gonna play around with partial uses of my dies more...it makes things even more interesting.

It's tough being a WJ...

Avery's Biggest Problem: That her bug mobile does not go ad infinitum.

Charlotte's Biggest Problem: Goes to the dentist. Endures a needle and two fillings. Since she has no feeling in the right half of her face, she chews the right side of her lower lip so much as to have a chunk of it hanging off! I had to turn the car around and take her back to the dentist so that they could crazy-glue her lip back together.

Tristan's Biggest Problem: Thinking that he can wait till the very last minute to go to the bathroom and then wonders why there are "drops" in his pants all the time...

Forget how I tripped upon it...

...but the site Scrap by Color is a pretty innovative one for help with a layout design. You simply upload the picture you are working with and it suggests a palette of colors from which to design by.

Secret Confession #14

This is more a secret confession of my mom's...of course, I believed so many things that I shouldn't have when I was growing up that maybe it is cathartic noting it here!

Anyway, growing up, my family always scraped the bottom of the barrel around payday time. My mom used to serve something right around this time of the month she called "Cowboy Dinner". It was a mix of pork n' beans and wieners on toast. Because of its glamorous name, we loved it. Now I am thinking...gross!

I don't really think I have a "Cowboy Dinner" of my own...do you? Maybe there will be something interesting for me to try should I get super-scrupulous with money (nah...I like to eat too much).

My Mom's New Puglet...

My mom got a new boy pug (named either "Boss Cow" or "Roscoe Boss Hogg"...I know, I know...I had no part in these choices!). Here he is with Bubaloo (the older boy pug who, despite his advantage in age and size, will never be the alpha dog).

You can find the free quickpage here.

Some Super Card Finds

Happy Birthday to Julia!

Julia, who owns LPS, is another year older today (although still not as old as me). Why not give her some birthday luv?

Getting Killed With Spam Comments As I Write This...

I put on the comment word verification until the bugger goes away. Do not click any comment from opop please. I have over 100 posts that I have to clean up from this loser now...

Secret Confession #13

Kinda depressed the last couple of days. I can't even put my finger on what is the reason for it...

Perhaps a confluence of:
  • Work deadlines.
  • Kid crap. They have been relatively okay lately but there is still the constant chatter. I feel like I am forever saying "uh huh" since they always have to share every little thing that pops into their heads.
  • A huge decline in the happy hormones of pregnancy. Although I still haven't had my "visitor", my milk has gone down and the cramps have gone up. I take a combination of brewer's yeast and fenugreek to up the milk. Works great but the fenugreek is a gland stimulator which makes me sweat like a pig and smell like funky maple syrup.

I know I am on not all hopped up on the phermones that come with the happy postpartum time since I am sleepy too. For a while there, I could make it (and in cheery spirits) on three or four hours a day. Last night, I slept from 7 to 7 save the ups and downs with Ave (right through the downer of a hockey game too which was probably a good thing). And today, I still crave more!
  • I went shopping for a half-hour before my doctor's appointment yesterday. Tried on some size 12 jeans which fit but made my gelatinous belly spill over the top. I have all these pretty size 8 clothing in my closet that may not see the light of day for some time. What was I even doing thinking I could go shopping yet?
The biggest thing that bothers me is that I can't put my finger on the reason for the sudden downturn. Like if only I did this, I would be happier right now. I am thinking it is mostly hormonal...dammit. Anyone got an estrogen shot to share?

Shameless WJ Sighting

Here are the WJs from yesterday. Charlotte is rocking out again (this time in a green dress, hot pink socks and the ever-present black tap shoes). Tristan is carrying Ave in the bjorn. He has taken quite a liking to carrying her around like this and who am I to quash such enthusiasm?

Monday Morning Memory...

I don't know why but this video always reminds me of my brother (the one only a year younger than me). I guess we just watched this crazy orange together enough times that they are forever linked!

Charlotte has been watching these old school vids from Sesame Street lately (over and over and over)...she's a girl I can get along with!

For my Canadian friends...

...did your local Dollar Giant turn into a $1.25 Giant recently (they are still calling themselves the Dollar Giant but everything is now a $1.25!)? They are my go-to for certain embellies...their stock has been improving lately but that certainly doesn't justify the horror of an extra quarter! (Tongue firmly planted in cheek!)

ETA: I just visited their website to see if they announced it there...nope but their website title still states "Nothing Over a Dollar". Liars.
