Can't Resist...

Hey Foxy!

Can you believe I have had this stamp and DP for weeks and never made anything with it? Yeesh!eek

Easy-peasy for me today! Have a good one!

My Messiest Kid!

Charlotte can't even eat a simple piece of toast without getting it all over herself! She thinks my protests are quite amusing and does little to improve her eating style. She is my Ms. Pig Pen!

Distressing News...

Deborah, one of the sweetest bloggers I have ever "met", passed away this morning. I spoke earlier of her illness. Domenica, her daughter, writes:

"...my mom was resting comfortably when she passed away. She will not be having a funeral, as we will have a ceremony in her ashes when we scatter them in Hawaii next summer. She had a fresh Hawaiian lei on with beautiful plumeria flowers and she was surrounded with her 3 daughters. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and stamper. She will be missed."

Indeed, she will be missed.

Giggles With Ave

For those of you following along...

...you may remember that I did a boneheaded move last LPS Monday and created a card with the wrong sketch! Since I liked last week's sketch so much (the one I didn't create with), I chose to create with it this week instead!
As I looked at it more and more I thought, "This would be perfect for a layout sketch". Since I always need a push to scrap, I ran with it. And it turned out relatively easy (even with Charlotte's neverending input!).

LPS Set Used: {Sugar and Spice}.

So you are not totally befuddled by this week's challenge, here it is:

1) Use this sketch to create your card.
2) Post a link to it from the LPS blog.
3) Prize for this week's challenge: Katie Cupcake as featured in my card below...

Cal-gals Sketch Challenge #2

This is the second Cal-gals sketch I have participated in since making my comeback after that whole pregnancy thing! Looking at it, I thought, this is okay...I can handle it. Once I tried to embellish it though, the wheels went off the car...rolleyes

Here's the sketch Merlie provided:

Here's my outcome:

I elected to create some apples (to play off the image itself) out of my 1/2" circle punch for embellishments...uh, yeah. Okay, so it's not superb but you get the idea.

(Note to self: When card sketch calls for embellishments, do a girl card! So much easier with primas, buttons, etc.!)

Ave is Six Months Old!

Well, Ave is actually six months plus two days old. She is doing fab...healthy and packing on the pounds. Still little and a bit behind on the development curve (she wants to sit up on her own something terrible!), but really coming into her own.

I just woke up Mom...honestly!

Okay, Dad's making me grin...but get me out of this chair already! You know I hate my car seat!

Having fun in the tub! (Thanks for cropping appropriately Mom!)

P.S. See how light her scar is now? Maybe it will disappear entirely!

Me Likeys - 5th Avenue Floral

I love this stamp set...I will not buy it though since it would never get used (I am not good at all with these floral stamps). Instead I will just drool over these...sigh!

SC234 - Arigato Raspberry Tart

Didn't create today (too much gardening...whoa! I think I have dirt in every orifice...ha!). Instead, I share with you my card for this week's sketch challenge...

LSC222 - No Big Whoop!

As a limited supply challenge that stated one could only use patterned papers, no colored images and limited embellishments, this was no challenge for me! I make these all the time since I am SO lazy! Ha!

You have some Basic Grey Sultry, grosgrain ribbon, a MS butterfly punch, a couple of buttons and a sentiment! All done by 8 AM so I could walk the crazies to school. BTW, it is finally hot here! And I am sweating like a madwoman! (I don't know if I mentioned this before [I probably have since I have verbal diarrhea] but I am taking a herbal supplement to aid in the breast milk production called fenugreek. At the best of times it makes you sweat [since it is a gland stimulator]. After a day of warm temperatures and lots of gardening, I am sure I am as fresh as a daisy!)eek

Cupcake Card

I made this cupcake card from my nesties (Long Scalloped Rectangles, Small and Small Scalloped Octagons) and my 1 1/4" punch. I have included a gift card to Crave (a local bakery which specializes in cupcakes) as Tristan's gift for his teacher tomorrow! Yay...school's all done (no more driving to and fro for a while!).

P.S. I have been outside all day which I think inspired my badge!

Dutch Dare Challenge - Late as Always

The last few days have been a lil' challenging with Avery. She is so whiny! I don't know if it is her teeth or her constipation (a consuming problem for her daddy and I...do I have some stories of late of ahem, "helping her along"!), but OMG! I even went grocery shopping this morning with her and C since it was easier than just staying home...

Anyway, I had to wait till late to create my card for this week's challenge given that the afternoons have been consumed with keeping the kids from each others' throats. This week, I was told that we would be creating triangle cards. Now would that be a pyramid, a triangle tri-fold or a triangle petal card?

With Karin's direction, I was told it could be anything that had to do with a triangle. So, being that I started at this late hour, I went with something easy...a pyramid card.

Love that K and Co. DP...especially since it's so thick! Have a good one!
