Compiling a list such as this one is a GREAT idea, Allison (btw, I love my Silhouette, but their instruction manual writer should be SHOT!).

Here's a a French website with TONS of GSD files:
http://www.scrapmag.info/crafty/index.php
It's not difficult to navigate, even if you dont know french: they are filed into categories (COEURS is HEARTS, etc.,) and to download any GSD file in the category click FISCHIER GSD; the picture with the same name (usually right next to it) is what you're downloading. Poke around, you'll figure it out.
Oh, and wait until you get into the PRINT & CUT, which is mostly what I do - it's marvelous!
Warm greetings from a sista tech writer in Florida!

How do you use an SVG file? I understand they need to be downloaded, but how do I transfer them to my Cricut for cutting?

Thank you so much, Allison. I see you've recently purchased a Silhouette. I love mine, though don't get to use it as much as I would like. If you haven't found it yet, there's a great group on Yahoo called SilhouetteUsers. I get lots of great ideas there, and there are some wonderful people to help you if you have a question or a problem.

I appreciate this list of places to get freebies. Here are some others I like:

And these are not free, but there many nice cutting files on CraftsUPrint.com

Thank you so much for listing me! You might want to change your list to read "Gypsy and Design Studio with a few SCAL" since I do all of my projects in DS or G and only offer cut files in SCAL.

Oh yeah, I'm Crazy for Crafting! :)

I have preordered an Ecraft so this will certainly come in handy. Assuming I have time to play with my toy...gotta paint the garage. Finally recycled the old freezer...without a body inside. Darn.

What a list!!! I received a Cricut back in May and love freebies!!! I am hoping that I will save money in the long run by not buying so many dies :>) Plus I have so much fun making boxes and not having to cut 'em by hand is even more fun!

Did you get my site? I have a free svg's too. http://beeshiveofdrama.blogspot.com

Thanks for you hard work! I remember searching last year, for hours...and many of the sites were a tad deceiving, you know labeling their svg's as free but in fact they weren't. Not that I don't think they're hard work shouldn't be rewarded but no need to be deceiving.
Again thank you!
