Everything Old is New Again Challenge

About a week ago, my PSF Sue posted a card with a long forgotten stamp set. I commented that we should have a challenge where we created cards with a stamp/stamp set that we would first have to blow the dust off due to lack of use. Sue jumped on the suggestion and now, with the help of some other PSFs, we are hosting the "Everything Old is New Again" challenge.

Want to Join Us? (Of course you do!)

All you have to do is create a card with a stamp set that hasn't seen the light of day for some time. Then, come back here, link it up by Friday, January 22nd at midnight (MDT) and you will be entered to win a $25 gift card to Michael's (thanks to Sue!). If you are looking for some inspiration, have a quick turn through the creations offered up by some great gals:

Here's mine. Now, if I were to admit it, this card should feature "Greetings Galore" (the first stamp set I ever bought). But I just couldn't. The second stamp set I bought was "Lovely as a Tree" but that stamp set never seems old (it just wouldn't be fair). So instead, I pulled out my third purchase: Big Pieces and Little Pieces. And whoa, after going through SCS, it seems like I am not the only one who forgot about these...hee hee!

I happened upon the Unscripted Sketches challenge today (missed this one earlier in the week!) and it was perfect for this set! So, working with a palette of Dusty Durango, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Basic Grey's Lime Rickey, this came together really easy (who knew?). The sentiment is from the Little Paper Shop's {Friends}.

Positive note of the day: Today was better. I am convinced that whenever you complain out loud, your situation improves just to make you think "oh maybe, I was just overreacting"...ha! Dang karma...

I will not acquiesce in on it. I regard as polite post. Particularly the designation attracted me to read the sound story.

This is the same anonymous leaving messages on my blog too, darn it!

The colors are perfection with your "old" stamps. How cool that this was the 3rd set you ever bought...AND still have. *snort* This was a really fun challenge!!
