- After you install the product, Picasa will automatically find all the current photos on your hard drive (should you direct it to do so through the installation process). That way, all your photos will be accessible in Picasa which saves you the frustration of hunting them down.
- Once you open a photo, you can quickly give your project a little more pizazz and improve what your readers see on-screen. Ida was kind enough to let me use you one of her cards as an example:
With Ida's card (which was already cropped nicely), I simply did two things before saving the photo:
1. I clicked I'm Feeling Lucky from the Basic Fixes tab (which automatically adjusts lighting and contrast).
2. I used the slider under the Sharpen effect to make the embossing of the background and the details of the stamped image more prominent.

That is quite a noticeable improvement! Thanks for the tip, Allison!
great improvements...I always look forward to your techy tips...I am so challenged!
Thank you so much! Something free (which I need) and I only have MS paint! Can't wait to try.
Glad to have been able to have helped. I'll give this another shot.
I'd be LOST without my Picasa! I'm hoping they add a photo frame option with the next update though.
I love Picasa and use it all the time!
I have been using Picasa for a few months now and it's really great. Very user-friendly and it's made a HUGE difference to the quality of my pics. I had only been using my Scanner program before - that was all I had. Picasa is a very good product for something that is free IMHO.
