EONAC8 - Forgotten Coloring Mediums

Sue is our challenge mistress again (that sounds kinda kinky, no? Sorry Sue!). Anyway, she told me that we should try to use a coloring medium we haven't used for a while. Since we all get caught up in the must-have of our day (Copics, anyone?), I am sure we may have some of the following rustling around in our craft drawers:
  • Pencil crayons (prismas and gamsol were "the thing" before the Copic craze)
  • Watercolor pencils
  • Aquapainter and ink
  • Chalks
  • Non-Copic Markers (e.g., SU!, Martha Stewart, etc.)
  • Watercolor crayons
  • Gel pens
I decided to pull out my aquapainter, watercolor paper and some Vintage Violet ink (that's an EONAC for sure!). The image is from Stampendous, the sentiment is an early peek at LPS' Everyday set and the paper is Lily Kate from Basic Grey. I included a mess of dew drops in the middle of the bloom and accented the lines coming off from the center with Crystal Effects.

Positive note of the day: It's late and I am sleepy. It reminds me of that ol' When Harry Met Sally quote: "That's the good thing about depression - you rest."

Very pretty flower. I still watercolor a bit, but I usually grab those darn Copics. Love the BG paper, it would go wonderful with the challenge Going Grey with Scrap-creations :-)

What an awesome card. I don't own Copics so I have to use other stuff all the time....but you've inspired me to use one of my big flower images with watercolour this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

grrr...it's not adding my link again! Is it because I'm using Firefox? I'll try again later with my Macbook - here are my cards:

I had never used copics so that is why I used them in my card. Love all the other mediums too, but this was something brand new to me that I have wanted to try since they became the rage. Thanks and I hope you like this card.

This was a great challenge. It was fun to use my watercolour crayons. I'd forgotten how much I loved the effect of this particular technique. Thanks!
