This release marks two years of LPS goodness! I cannot believe it! Nor can I believe Julia has endured me since the very beginning...ha! And I want all my lovely PSFs to be keeping my homegirl in your thoughts this weekend since she is in the stages of early labour! (Her due date is April 21st...the same day as Tristan's birthday! And her DD Katie has right hemiplegic cerebral palsy...another thing we share! But one thing she does that I truly have no talent for is photography...her kid pics are too darn cute! Anyway, if you want to share the love with her at this momentous time, I am sure she would love to hear from you at her blog.)Anyway, back to me (since we all know I love talking about me! Ha!). This first preview set was just too fun to work with. It is called {Behind the Scenes} and is primarily a set for backgrounds or layering (I used it on my third preview card as well...I have so many ideas for this one!). The stamps worked perfectly right out of the box. For my first creation, I mixed up some scraps (the raspberry fizz from SU! and some textured DP from K and Co.) and clear embossed the stamps on these fun brights! I then cut the scraps to an inch each, taped them together and then die-cut them with my label nestability. ♥ it this with the black and the bling! (Note: Sentiment is from {For You}.)
Now that you are here, I hope you know that we are having a hop today (well actually, each day of the release previews we will be having a hop!). Should you want to participate to win a $10 gift certificate to the LPS store, all you have to do is comment on ALL the DT members blogs today (head to the LPS blog for a full list) for a chance to be entered in the random drawing for today's gift certificate. We are hopping from place to place...you should have got here from Ann's blog and will now be heading to glittery Jen!
Positive note of the day: Okay, I knew I would but I am loving not wearing glasses. My eyes are still a little dry (my left tear duct doesn't properly hold my tears anyway) but save the bloodshot eyes, it's all good. Plus, I am going to get a good night's sleep to let them rest. Expensive but so worth it!
In a week, I will take another photo where I don't have burst blood vessels! The blood vessels burst once the suction cups were set around the eyes to keep them in place for the laser surgery. The lasers didn't hurt but the smell of the burning cornea...yuck! I was pretty nerved up during the procedure since it took three times to get the suction cup on my left eye...that hurt! The doctor said he thought I didn't breathe at all during the procedure and he's probably right.
My eyesight is back entirely but should sharpen as the eyes are relubricated and the nerves grow back. Holy TMI today!
