DIVA

How perfect is this? I had done up Charlotte's hair for "Crazy Hair Day" at preschool (I backcombed, teased and hairsprayed it!). I then told her I wanted to get some pics before she left...look at this pose she gave me (she is ready for the European runway)! Then, a couple of days ago, my eye caught this glittery DIVA chipboard at the dollar store and knew I had to make this page...♥ it so!

Positive note of the day: Yesterday was crappy in so far as I found out that one of my distant relatives took her own life. I was shook largely because, as a mother, I cannot imagine making such a choice. She leaves three kids (the oldest is 14) and they will have that scar forever.

As flawed beings, we make mistakes with our kids (believe me, some days I think I am the poster child!). And while I am sure there is a whole context underlying this that I will never understand, I just can't help but think that no matter what your burden, you should carry it and never transfer it onto such small shoulders.

It did make me cherish my afternoon with the kids. Later, when I dropped the kids off with Brad, Charlotte wanted to spend extra time with me. So we went home, shared a quesadilla, watched Barbie in a Fish Tail and then went to Toys R' Us and bought some Fancy Nancy books.

First of all - LOVE this C page! What a hoot! Next, I have had suicide in my family, too. It's something I cannot comprehend. It does leave a huge scar and always, always many questions - many "what-ifs". Very sad. You are a wonderful Mother. Don't ever, ever doubt that.

C is such a poser and I really enjoy seeing the pix you capture of her. Sorry to hear about your loss. Life is very hard and we all do the best we can. Hug your kids often - there isn't anything better in life than love.

Oh my, she is so darn cute and your page is perfect...perfect with her little pose and the colors...love it!

Terribly sorry to hear about your relative. We have friends whose son took his own life...such an incredible tragedy and you're right, an awful thing to do to your children.

Sorry to hear about your relative taking her life.
Probably she felt she was doing the children, and possibly the world, a favor by not being in it anymore. She didn't see it the way most people do. Sadly, she didn't share her feelings with someone.
