Love and Congratulations

My brother and his boyfriend got engaged recently so I wanted to make a modern, simplistic card to congratulate them. I elected to use this week's CAS sketch with Basic Grey's Indian Summer (srsly...do I even need to own any other paper save theirs?).

Positive note of the day: What is it with my kids and their "specific" requests lately? Tristan wants tuna but only if its yellow fin. Jeebus. He needs to go get a job and pay the extra for yellow fin!

Now why can't I do simple and elegant -- aaarrgghh. Fussy and frilly with about 20 layers, no problem. Simple and clean with well defined focal point - nope. Life is so unfair!
Love the card!

Congrats to your brother & his partner! This card is so beautiful & so perfect for this event, I luv what you did with it & how you made the sentiment the focal point with that oh soooo elegant BG paper! I love BG & have a lot of their paper pads but I'm hourding them & don't use them enough. Am I really supposed to use them??? Hehehe!!!

How the heck does WJ #1 even know to make the distinction?!? His last tuna fishing excursion? Your kids are a trip, Allison!

Congrats to your brother and WOW what a gorgeous card! You absolutely, positively can't go wrong with BG papers. Can't you just tell him it's yellow fin? Yeah right - we're talking about Tristan here. Oh well. ~chris
