Two "Leftovers" Cards

I made the following two cards from leftovers from previous challenges. The first one features holly leaves from PTI and a sentiment stamp from Hero Arts. The second is an LPS cutie with a sentiment from Riveting.

Positive note of the day: Tristan's friend (who is normally nothing but perfect) who lives a couple of houses away chucked ice at him tonight so he was bleeding quite a bit (on his cheek near his lip) when he came in from outside. What's worse is the bruise inside his mouth which I hope doesn't look too bad in the morning. Even though the cut was small, it wouldn't stop bleeding. I really don't want to have to take him to get another stitch in the AM. He is such a good looking boy but all these scars are gonna take their toll. Charlotte played nursemaid in her "take charge" mode which was sweet.

BTW, it is 3 AM and I am listening to Avery cry it out. I feel bad for her but she is almost two and we are having regular temper tantrums about bedtime. Plus, she thinks that if she wakes up in the middle of the night that a) she is gonna get a drink, b) she is gonna get her mama in bed with her and/or c) it is time to get up for the day. Since Brad is gone for the week, I am letting the older two sleep in my bed so they are not interrupted and she is going to have to get used to sleeping through the night. Oh boy...is she mad!

Finally, here are C's birthday pics...even composing that blog post about it exhausted me (ha!).

Gorgeous cards Allison - I really love the top one.
Ouch hope T is ok now and doesn't need stitched. Had a peek at C's party - loving the model pics, and giggled at the toilet paper fight. Jaqui x

We had to do the cry it out thing with our second, who by 16 months was still getting up for two hours every single night (we slept for about four hours a night for over a year...torture). It took only two nights before he was sleeping through the night. The first night was the worse, whined and cried for almost two hours...it was hard. Second night 40 minutes, third night nothing. We never had a problem again and he's almost five. Hang in there!!

PS - Darling cards!!
PSS - Love the new blog header!

Very cute cards!!

As for sleeping...Jack's been awake since 3:30am. We're not the cry-it-out types, and I don't mind bringing him to our bed or going into his so long as he'll go back to sleep. One good thing, he can speak very clearly at 5am when he's had it with being hushed back to sleep!!! It was his cleared "up" ever(and repeated about 50 times!) Lemme know how this works out for you...Jack may turn us into cry-it-outers!!

Love your new blog color scheme! Very fresh and wintry :) Also love the medallion on your second card here. I haven't tried one of those yet.

Best of luck with Ave. I am blessed with 2 good sleepers, and I couldn't function if they weren't! My thoughts are with you :)

Beautiful cards - especially love that first one. Really like the holly on it. Good luck with Ave's sleeping. Hope T is ok.

When I read this, I thought you said someone threw ice cream! Where are my contacts? Why would anyone throw ice cream and jeez, how cold was the fridge. Then I re-read it. In my son's words...he says chicks dig scars. He sure has them. The scary part was the chicky scare lovers were skanks. Luckily he found a girl who made him keep his clothes on until they got married.
