Indian Summer in January?

I have a few pegboards littered with every line of Basic Grey for the last three years plus. I have made a pledge to myself to pull various ones off the wall and use it whether I feel inspired by them or not (and it won't take much since I love-y them!). One line that never fails to inspire is Indian Summer. I paired it with the Queen Anne's lace image from Starving Artistamps (I stamped the BG with the school paper stamp from River City Rubber Works) and the Mojo Monday sketch (different and cool!).

Positive note of the day: My new skates worked like a charm today...it is so weird to not have to stop a million times and adjust them. I could've stayed all day with the kids on the lake if mothering duties didn't take me back home to start dinner for the troops.

Sigh...back to school and back to work for all of us tomorrow. Charlotte told me I didn't have to work if she didn't have to go to school. I asked her how she was going to make money for us in that scenario and she told me she would work as a bulldozer driver. I have no idea how she came up with that one. Needless to say, she will be practicing French tomorrow and I will be writing another service manual on repairing explosive detection scanners. TTYL.

what a bright, fun card...love it!! Finally getting caught up...again. Congrats on the new gig...that rocks!! And good luck on preschool prep. Sounds like here it might be a little easier since the school district HAS to provide preschool for spec. ed. And Jack weighs about the same as Ave...maybe a few ounces more! Wow!! have a great day!!

WOW! This is breathtaking. Such vibrant alive colors. So glad that your skates are working out so well! I don't think any kind of skates would work for me - way to clumsy and ungraceful! I think C's idea of being a bulldozer is cool - who doesn't want to be in control of one of those big pieces of destructive machinery! ~chris
