First Highlighted Amber Inks Creation

Today I am going to show off my first Amber Inks creation. I wasn't sure about where I was going to go with this (since it was going to be a masculine creation that would have a subdued palette but still play off those hearts!). I really like how it came about though.

Using Soft Suede CS (with one panel that included the digi wood grain BG), I used Pyrus paper (from Basic Grey) and the Mojo Monday sketch put up yesterday. I used up some twine and eyelets (since these seem just the thing for masculine cards) and punched my edges with my MS scallop three dot punch (I cannot wait till Friday when we have Cal-gals and Merlie enables me with all her punch purchases since I saw her last!).

Positive note of the day: Been having to go to bed with Ave each night so she does not have a meltdown (she has been getting so upset that she yacks...gross). So bad to be enabling her but she gets to sleep quickly and I have been getting an extra nap each day. I would rather get things done but at least I'm well rested!

Totally love this. You did a fabulous job - I love Soft Suede. I'm glad you're laying down with Ave. It won't last for a lifetime, you know. Probably good for both of you.

This is wonderful, Allison! I love that you used the woodgrain background behind this fun mushroom image. I can't wait to see what other creations you have in store for your month as Amber Ink torchbearer, and I'm also excited that you're joining the Pink Cat Studio team for this week's digi release!

Very "manly" card Allison. Lovin that woodgrain background image and how you used it! That sentiment is too funny! A little extra nap will make for a happier Mommy as well. Had a good chuckle over the funny today!
