Heart This!

Was out with the Cal-gals on Friday night. Lots of chatting and nibbling ensued. I was watching my pal Merlie crafting...she was messing with embossing powder, filigree stamps, sponges and distress ink. Intrigued by the image she had put together, I decided to mimic her every move. Now, like with her punch enabling, I have an itch to go buy a whole bunch of distress ink (which if you would offer your fav color[s] up, I would love you for that!). Oh Merlie...why do you taunt me so?

P.S. I really love this Pyrus DP from Basic Grey...yum!
P.P.S. Added Vintage Ink to those wooden buttons...awesome.

Positive note of the day: Love that we got all that demolition done yesterday! My arm hurts from smashing all that concrete and brick (not to mention hauling it out) and I don't want to even recall how much time we spent vacuuming! Today we are going out to look at millwork...here's hoping the WJs don't kvetch too much (since they would prefer to stay in their PJs all day!

This is sooo pretty, Allison, and I love the papers!! Your sentiment looks so elegant, and I love the dimension!! Great job staining those buttons too!!

very nice!! I really am enjoying the distress inks. Love them all! The very pale colors are often too pale/dry so I tend to favor the deeper ones. Love Broken China (blue) and Peeled Paint (green) and Fired Brick (red)

Beautiful vintage card. I haven't used my Distress Inks in long while but when I did I used Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw, Shabby Shutters, Tattered Rose and Ages Mahogany. Enjoy.

Pretty...but tell me why distress inks are different than other inks like SU? I'm confused...

Pretty card.
My favourite distress ink colour would be Vintage Photo.

Sorry for taunting you!! Beautiful card though....I'm gonna have to say the "Vintage Photo" is the one I reach for all the time. Happy shopping!

That is one phenomenal card, and you've just tempted me with that paper - OMG, a person must HAVE that paper, and I'm not exception! Criminy, I have a BUNCH of wooden buttons and will be adding Antique walnut to some, thank you for that!!!

Gorgeous...I think Pyrus is the only recent collection I didn't get, and you're making me want it!
I use my distress inks constantly. My favourites are Broken China, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, and probably Old Paper. (Antique Linen is pretty close to it, and Vintage Photo is quite dark. If you don't like the heavy distressed look those two browns are better).
