Weekend Sketches

Hey everyone! Brad and I decided to finally tear down our old brick fireplace today. We have't even decided what we are putting in its place (!) but we got the demolition done! Needless to say, I didn't even remember the sketches until I sat down now!

Here are the kids tearing down the brick. OMG...this ended up creating such a mess! Brad and I just finished cleaning up the fine layer of dust all.over.this.house. The WJs were pretty good helpers and were just so excited to see the changes going on!

Ooh I can't do that! My FP brick wall is the wall-the entire wall. I thought about taking one side out and making a pass thru into the living room (two sided fireplace) but nothing I want to do, is anything hubby wants to do. I need to rip out the bar...but he dumps all his crap there. I just want him gone overnight somewhere. Ya know what I mean?

Oh I have done this too but I took out the whole stove! Have you tried Re-modelholic? She shows all kinds of fireplace makeovers!

Demoing can be a great stress-reliever, but I know clean-up is not too fun. So cool that the kids were involved!
