Putzing Around on a Saturday

Today, it's just me and the girls. T and Daddy are off to Drumheller to go to the dinosaur muesum. The girls and I are off to get items for T's birthday party next week but save that, I imagine it will be a quiet day (I cannot disrupt Charlotte's life of living in panties only and watching iCarly).

Speaking of iCarly, Charlotte and I were watching lots of it in the middle of the night yesterday (i.e., late Thursday night). She started vomiting blood (and a lot of it) and it freaked me out. I called the Health Link and they recommended taking her to emergency. At first she didn't want to go (she thought there might be a needle involved!) but once she was up (at 3:15 AM), she remained awake until noon when she finally passed out. We only spent 2 1/2 hours at the hospital from beginning to end (thank gawd!) and it was deduced that she likely had a nose bleed while she was sleeping (which happens a lot to C) but this time she swallowed so much blood that it caused her to vomit. I was much relieved since it could have been something way worse!

Anyway, since I had no idea how long I would be at the hospital, I canceled my interview in advance of going to the hospital (since I can never get a signal there!). I ended up getting home by 7 AM but I was likely not at the top of my game nonetheless. Gosh, these kids are a lot of work...maybe I don't need a job!

Since I am camera-less (the boys took it with them), I share with you a creation I made earlier in the week (instead of the only card I made last night with the Cal-gals. I talked way too much instead. Gosh, I need to learn to pause or self-edit! Hmm...at least I am good for comedy!).

Positive note of the day: Cal-gals was a nice break yesterday (esp. listening to Merlie talk like a truck driver!).

I sure glad C is ok. Would she let you put a very small amount of Vaseline on the inside of her nose to keep the membranes moist? Or maybe she could do it herself. My youngest daughter was plagued with terrible nosebleeds as a child but I did not learn about the Vaseline technique until she was grown - would have possibly saved having put the poor little thing through cauterization - not a fun process. Love the page - such an adorable photo of C.

Maybe C isn't a witch after all but a vampire??? My neice used to get nosebleeds like that. She is all growed up now and gonna be a gramma this fall. I feel so freaking old. When I die, I will let C have my Blogger icon of Witchy Woman.

Oh my gosh! So glad to hear it wasn't anything serious! I mean a nose bleed is awful but a needle? Those freak me out! I used to get a lot of nose bleeds as a kid but by my teens I out grew them. Hopefully she does too!

Your page is awesome! Some day we must get together and stamp!
