So hard to get at my stash...
While playing a game of Battleship with T, dealing with a buggy YouTube Elmo playlist and fetching snacks and bevies for C, I played with this Twisted Sketches challenge....
DP Used: Basic Grey Hello Luscious
Positive note of the day: The kids had so much fun yesterday at Calaway especially Ave. Everytime I had to take her out of the ride, she just lost it. I would then have to assure her that I would find another ride right away just so the other kids could get on!Fun Thing I Found on the Web:

Playing in Paradise - Challenge of Three
It's time for another Playing in Paradise challenge and, since it is Carla's turn, we have another challenge of three...this time it is buttons, twine and a tag! Don't ask me why I made a Valentine's Day card...it is likely that I just grabbed these items since they were left over from a recent scrap page. I created the tag by simply using my scalloped octagon to shape the top of the tag and my corner rounder to finish the bottom edges. I have added a button and some twine to the top and then even more buttons along the middle to further the theme. The heart was a little something I made with two pieces of cereal box tops, my heart punch and lots of sticky tape. The rest is pretty self-explanatory, n'est pas?
Stash Used:
Positive note of the day: Found out that I can take the plane charter back and forth straight to the northern Alberta sites rather than driving all over hell's half-acre. Will be glad for it but it will still be long days to get it all done!
Stash Used:
- DP from K and Company.
- AC Cardstock.
- Basic Grey/Sizzix Embossing Folder (Snow Flowers).
- Martha Stewart Heart Punch.
- EK Success Corner Rounder - Small.
- Hero Arts Embellishment - Buttons Mixed Sea.
- Spellbinders Scalloped Octagons.
- Twine from the Twinery.

Hello Out There!
Can I tell you how stressed out I am right now due to work? Well, even if you don't want to know, I am gonna tell ya.
I am the lead on my documentation/training team. For the past couple of days I have been trying to manage our rollout which will include the immediate training of 500 people during an August 22nd to September 15th window. During that time, my trainer and I will also have to visit our field sites in Cristina Lake (halfway between Lac La Biche and Fort MacMurray) and Foster Creek (close to Bonnyville). We have to get so much stuff ready (manuals, classes, software IDs, etc.) that it is just hurting my brain. You will see one giddy gal come mid-September when our big push is done (we will still have to train about 200 more but we will be able to roll that out slowly rather than back to back four hour sessions for almost four weeks straight!).
And this is the last of anything I have to blog scrap-wise. Once I made it I thought that it kinda looked like other scrap pages of Tristan but oh well!
DP Used: Basic Grey Wander
Positive note of the day: If you haven't seen this cute story about Ave, you have to check it out!

Itchy Junipers and Evenings of Mahjong
I have been out hacking out half of a dead juniper this evening. I smell like a pine forest and now have a rash all over but at least it's done. And while I have crafted, I have been too lazy to blog since I am addicted to Mahjong on Facebook (srsly, if you want to be a companion, I may finally make it to Australia!).
Anyway, I made this pretty card a couple of days ago. This image is a freebie (which I just downloaded) but do you think I can remember where I got it? Ugh! So much fun to color and then mix with this Basic Grey Urban Prairie and stitched velvet ribbon...yum!
ETA: Danni reminds me it's from CDAC and created by Mabelle R.O.!
Positive note of the day: We got Ave's hair cut this weekend. It's pretty short (since she likes to chew on it!) but she looks super cute. I will have to get a picture soon!

It's time for another Playing in Paradise challenge and it is Allison's turn (the other Allison!) to set the challenge. For this one, we have an inspiration challenge with the picture of the quilt on the left. - Cupcake DP from Basic Grey.
- Me and My Big Idea Stickers.
- Brilliant Blue, Yoyo Yellow and Real Red CS from SU!.
- Twine from the Twinery.

Amber Ink's Birthday Blog Hop
Twelve short months ago we made our big debut,
So now we'd like to commemorate our 1st birthday with you!
This flash mob of torchbearers always light our way.
Won't you please jog along on our special day?
Leave your comments here and there over the next 48.
On Friday we'll announce the loot. Don't wait...let's CELEBRATE!
As a past torch bearer for Amber Ink, I am tickled to participate in this birthday blog hop. I am late in posting (I goofed up the dates) but you still have till Friday to get in on the hop for some fun prizes from Amber Ink!
Using some Basic Grey Hopscotch paper, a doily and this cute bunnies images (Love Bunny - New Family), I made a baby card for my MIL's stash (she has quite a lot of friends who are going to be grandmas!). TFL!
Positive note of the day: Charlotte is such a card. She is always so dramatic when she recounts her day. I hate to see when real drama enters her life!Fun Thing I Found on the Web:

I am Glad This Day is Almost Done...
It's been a day...let's just leave it at that. Here's a card I made a few days back and am only now getting around to posting. At least I am keeping up with the sketches...ha!
DP Used: Basic Grey Curio
Positive note of the day: We have alphabet cookie cutters. Avery pulled each one out and told me the appropriate letter for each one save a few...I was impressed (esp. since her expression is still pretty weak!).

Get Your Party Hat On!
Amber Ink is turning one this week and today they want you to get your PARTY HAT ON! Amber and Pam are such a fun and generous pair...I really urge you to support these gals!
To that end, Charlotte and I made her a hat with some bright paper and lots of stickers that she was able to adhere herself. When explaining to her brother why she had a party hat on, she told him "Mom and I made it just for grins". Ah, I love it when my kids pick up my phrases!
So what are you waiting for? Go play!

CAS 148
Here's a quick masculine card I made for the CAS challenge 148. It was real hard not to add more but then I thought, "When I go through the Papyrus store, they don't add a whole bunch more, so stop already!"DP Used: Crate Paper School Spirit
Positive note of the day: Kids enjoyed the Stampede and Ave was so mellow for most of it. She sat in the stroller and kinda vegged which surprised me!Fun Thing I Found on the Web:

Simple Lil' 4 x 4 Card
I had colored a number of images months ago and just tripped over a few the other night. In my bid to get some crafty time in this week, I made this quick little square card.
Positive note of the day: I am plugging away at work with the hopes that I get a major document done tomorrow. I do not have great hopes but I will try! Friday we are doing the Stampede and this weekend we are going up to Banff for an overnight with the kids!
