Challenging Composition

My girlie Paula got me a gift card from the LSS for Christmas (well, my brother got it too but let's face it, his name was just on the card...snort!). We went over and I bought three of these 7 Gypsies printer trays. I was quite stumped on what to do with it since I don't typically work with items that can have a lot of dimension to them...

The first one I tried was one for Ave. Mostly, there are pictures from the first three years of her life along with some mementos (like her wisp of hair that they cut when they performed her heart surgery as well as her bracelet at birth). I think it will be one of those things that I change out and add pictures to as she grows older...

Positive note of the day: Got all my bookkeeping done for 2011 (I had to play catch up since I really didn't know what I was doing until I met with an accountant)...here's hoping tax season goes easy!

Oh, this is marvelous. I don't think you should change it out - just do another one. Every time I see That one photo of Ave with the big smile - I smile. I still have that one on my fridge. So cute.

For someone who does not usually work with items that have a lot of dimension, I'd say you certainly rose to the occasion and created a wonderful keepsake. (Of course the subject matter made your task a lot easier, I'm sure!).

I would normally laugh at the "I'm Not Fat" caption but having watched the first of the series "My 600 LB Life", I'm not sure I want to eat ice cream anymore.

Came out fabulous Allison! It's a piece of art work. Lovely papers and embellishments. Can't wait to see what you do with the other 2. :o)

It can be tricky getting used to adding big bulky stuff but then it becomes addicting! I love the out-of-the-box look with the hair locket booklet (and the pun with the little lock!) and all the wonderful details & words for Miss Avery - especially that button heart!

So sweet! You make it look so easy! I have been working on one for several weeks...mostly looking at it. My mistake was to make it monotone. Wish I had started with something more colorful like this! Maybe tray # 2 will work out that way!
