Today's Playing in Paradise had Nina challenge us to follow a theme challenge to include a reference to coffee or tea. One thing you should know about me is I could single-handedly keep Twinings in business with my tea consumption. And if you have never had a London Fog (an Earl Grey tea latte with vanilla syrup), you gotta have one next time you are out (it's a perfect wintry drink!).
Another thing you have to know about me is I always create at the last minute and this week was no exception! Tonight I mentored my niece in readying her resume since she will be graduating this year. If you want to apply for new graduate programs though, you need to get your application in by September 30...yeesh!
Now back to the creation. I pulled out my not-oft used tea-themed set from Papertrey Ink and got to work! I paper pieced since I love to make a patterned pot!

Positive note of the day: Tomorrow is parent-teacher interview day at school and then I hope for some down time so I can catch up on work stuff. I often say that I should just wear a fire extinguisher on my hip since all I do from day to day is put out fires!Fun Thing I Found on the Web:

Love the tea pot! Paper piecing is one of my favorite technique too. London Fog...yum!
Unexpected color theme from you today Allison! Pretty Pastels!
What a sweet card Allison. Love the pretty papers and that tea pot. Have a wonderful weekend!
Wonderful card Allison, I love the soft colours you used. I am a tea drinker too and I agree a London Fog is delish.
I love the layered circles! And tea...yum...Earl Grey is excellent, I love chai, and my fave is Irish Breakfast :)
If I find a waist-mounted fire extinguisher I will buy one for me & send you one as well...yep, it's all about putting out fires!
And talking about the last minute...have I got anything ready for tomorrow? uh, no. Not just yet.
